Attendee of The Congress of Future Medical Leaders

The Congress of Future Medical Leaders in June 2024 was a three-day event held in Lowell, MA, designed for high-achieving high school students interested in medicine. The agenda included a mix of keynote presentations, mentoring sessions, collaborative activities, and a live surgery demonstration. I really liked the live surgery demonstration by Dr. Anthony Romeo (orthopedic surgeon), with real-time Q&A for delegates to interact with the surgical team. I interacted with Mario R. Capecchi, a distinguished molecular geneticist who was awarded the Nobel Prize for his pioneering work in developing "knockout mice" technology (gene targeting technique).
